This 'master' post will link to various posts I make with snippets from the already officially-translated first-season novels. (There are also novelizations of R2 and a few additional novels, one about Kallen (called Crimson Path), one about the Knights of the Round, and two novels focused on the student council characters by a different author. I own all of these, and it is my ambition to at least translate the R2, Crimson Path, and Knights of the Round novels.)
I don't want to undersell how unusual or cool it is that Bandai Entertainment even published translations of any of the series' light novels. You don't normally see that, and I hope more companies put the kind of effort that BE did into the first season of CODE GEASS: Lelouch of the Rebellion — dubbed audio dramas, packed-in translated issues of various manga adaptations, and light novels available to buy separately. All very cool.
That said... 元のバージョンの方がいいと思う。The official translation is rushed in places, and in other places... seemingly censored. The links below will include the original Japanese, so that you can compare my work to it (and draw your own conclusions). Okay, it was a noble idea, including all of the original Japanese text here, but having now translated like 13 pages' worth, it is increasingly infeasible. If you have any questions about particular lines, hmu and I will happily retrieve them for you!
