SHAMNA
No good...?

SHAMNA
Was that attachment?1
Or... perhaps longing?
It's...
SERVANT
Lady Shamna?
SHAMNA
It seems the barrier is indeed made up of
the residue of those people's desires, bound together.
SERVANT
Bound?
SHAMNA
Yes.
So we'll be needing the power of her blood after all.

SERVANT
The preparations are complete.

SHAMNA
Nunnally.
I'll see to it that you take responsibility for what your blood relations left behind.

"PRISONERS"
Gimme one of those rifles.
"PRISONERS"
Hey, that one's mine!
"PRISONERS"
Where're the bullets?! I need bullets!
BITOOL
C'mon, you bastards, would it kill ya to shape up a little?!
"PRISONER A"
Hey, Warden! Seems like they didn't even notice we were fake prisoners.
"PRISONER A"
We had them totally snowed.

BITOOL
So, how many intruders toal?
"PRISONER A"
Well, you see, Warden,
it seems like it was just those three.
BITOOL
Are you kidding? That's too few!
What're they trying to pull?
"PRISONER A"
Well, apparently they were headed for that underground floodgate.
Shouldn't be anything down there but the shrine that was there before the move, though.
BITOOL
Then we'll start our search from the bottom and work our way up.
Okay, everyone!
Crush 'em on the lowest possible level,
and the damage shouldn't be too bad.
BITOOL
And just in case, let Mr. Big Shot know what's up, too.
"PRISONER A"
You mean the pride of that noble family, Captain Shesthaal of the Elite Guard?

BITOOL
Idiot. That's what I said, isn't it?2
SHESTHAAL
Standby?
SOLIDER
Yes. The prison's layout is so complicated, they'll handle this themselves... or so Warden Bitool said.
SHESTHAAL
Hmph.
That former brigand...!

SHESTHAAL
Just whose kingdom does he think this is?!

KALLEN
!

KALLEN
Jeez, Miss Sayoko,
even bringing a Ghedo Vakka here3...
LLOYD
I mean, at this point?
We might as well be a little rough-and-tumble, we're getting found out regardless!

KALLEN
But I thought whatever happened, we were going to use those prisoners to...
KALLEN
Oh.
SAYOKO
That's right.
SAYOKO
They're all his subordinates.
And one step ahead of us, I'm afraid.
KALLEN
Got it.

KALLEN
I'll buy us some time.
KALLEN
Lloyd, I'm leaving Lelouch to you!
LLOYD
What?!
LLOYD
Not to me, come on...4

SAYOKO
Dr. Asplund.
LLOYD
Owww...
LLOYD
This thing barely qualifies as a Knightmare,
so be careful!

KALLEN
<I've got this5>
LLOYD
Oh well...
LLOYD
What will be, will be—

LLOYD
At least I have something interesting to occupy my time6.
"PRISONERS"
Heheh,
are we lucky or what?!
"PRISONERS"
Right?
Good thing we didn't have to get these through security upstairs!
"PRISONER A"
I mean, that's because you guys were on babysitting detail7 during last week's hunt.

"PRISONER A"
And I appreciate it.
Man, I love redheads.
"PRISONER A"
!

BITOOL
Haha!
BITOOL
Right into the fray, no warning—
You love to see it!8

"PRISONERS"
A Ghedo Vakka?!
"PRISONERS"
Oh shit! Shit!!
BITOOL
And comin' at us from below...?
Nice!

KALLEN
Sorry, but.
I'm gonna need you guys gone from here!

"PRISONER A"
Control! We're in danger of a collapse here! We need back-up!
Hey, can you hear me?!
SFX
<static>
"PRISONER A"
Don't tell me we're being jammed?!

"PRISONER A"
!

SFX
<shudder!!>
KALLEN
<jerk>
Lousy readouts, I can't see anything!
Ugh!

BITOOL
I'll give you this much!
Considerin' you don't know the machine, you're doing great!

C.C.
What is this?
It hasn't lost its ability to function as the World of C...
But it is in some sort of error state.
Somehow, people's consciousness isn't penetrating the collective unconsciousness...

LELOUCH
<wail...>
LELOUCH
<scree>
LELOUCH
<shriek>

C.C.
Lelouch!
LELOUCH
<still wailing>
C.C.
(Is it because Lelouch killed the gods?9)
(Or...)

C.C.
Lelouch!!
1 Given the givens, I'm more inclined than usual to think this use of 執着 might be as the official translation of Abhinivesha (अभिनिवेश), i.e. the Buddhist sort of attachment: specifically, the fear of death / will to live, attachment to our identities in this life, etc.↩
2 lit. "don't repeat", specifically in the sense of not repeating orders back to confirm they're correct. In this case, obviously being rather scornful of Shesthaal by implying 外にいるエリート様 (Mr. Big Shot who's outside) is obviously the exact same thing as 名門の誇りシェスタール隊長様.↩
3 The furigana over Ghedo Vakka, plus context, tells us Kallen is specifically thinking about the international incident that bringing a KMF into Zilkhstan could cause...↩
4 Lit. "Even if you say something like that to me...!" in a distinctly whiny tone of voice. I don't want to hear that, etc.↩
5 Lit. コイッ, which in this context is likely referring to the fighting phrase (command form of "come here"), when you're raring and ready to go.↩
6 Lit. "But this sure is fascinating subject matter!"↩
7 What is this supposed to mean! I don't think it really matters. Literally, 留守番 means house-sitting, and it's used in expressions like "answering machine". There's a definite derisive tone here, so I took it a step further.↩
8 Lit. "what great taste (in music, etc)!"↩
9 Not a hard-and-fast rule, but usually せい is used for a negative consequence, so there's a sublte nuance to C.C.'s sentence of Lelouch being blamed for killing the gods, or this consequence being retaliation for killing the gods. (Which still seems like a retcon to me, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯↩

For the record, it's really not much. The artist is just thanking you for buying her books and talking about how it's an honor to work on this project.
Honestly, reading it makes me feel pretty bad, thinking about posting these images! They are literally the only part of the project that Sunrise didn't already give away for free, and they're just a heartfelt thank-you for buying the book.
