I'm not sure what they're doing with the schedule though it has been nice having it be somewhat regular if with shorter chapters.

I'll fully admit I was completely caught off guard going through the raw when Lelouch fell. I thought it was just a small tumble or something then scrolled to the next page and there's this huge drop and a blood splatter.

This does confirm, in the continuity at least I guess, that Lelouch's body is immortal and heals. I feel like they were never exactly clear whether he had the benefit at all, though given how screwed up C's World is I suppose the main risk is there may come a time when it doesn't work anymore. It's definitely interesting seeing C.C. here compared to how she was at the start of the series.

Is this also the first time they've actually depicted the healing process at all? I feel like anytime it happened it always was offscreen or we just saw them get back up a bit later. Never actually seeing the wounds closing up.

- Heh, I kind of agree. Also, this is going to be an absolute monster of a chapter when it's finished, I think we're already in excess of 40 pages here.

- Yeah, I've heard a variety of theories, including that one: that his Code is messed up in some way, and might just stop working at any point without warning. We'll see if the manga addresses that at all. (Also maybe it moves on his body as the movie goes on? But that might also have been inconsistent animation? I honestly haven't seen the movie and wasn't inclined to, whoops haha.)

- I think you may be right about that. CG has a fair amount of on-screen injury and blood, but it's never been especially graphic about it, more the same sort of way that the Joker's "magic trick" was filmed in The Dark Knight; sound effects, musical stings, but the camera cuts away, and the resulting bloody mess on an immortal is mostly covered by hair or clothing. I believe the wound C.C. exposes on Lelouch's head here is meant to be showing skull, which is definitely not something the show ever did. (Otherwise it would be dark, like the blood in the panel.)

I was surprised to see this was another Part as well as that next chapter is one as well. I'm not sure if this is going to be the norm then or if this is just an oddity given the scheduling for this one especially has seemed a bit weird.

The location looks about right from the glimpse here compared to the movie. It's always around that location and doesn't really change to another spot of the body at all.

Yeah, I can't recall it ever really showing gore or anything like that. It was always just lots of blood and sometimes a hole if someone was shot in the head or something but never super detailed.

you know, it's interesting how when C.C. was at the wall in the movie version it was during a montage with the opening song after when Nunnally and Zero were reported missing in the beginning part of the film. This however seems that now they are heading to Zilkhistan with Shamna now making preparations, which I guess to get Nunnally at this point.

Hi just wanna ask if there is really no chapter 3 and 4 in resurrection? I am just confused cuz when i see the raw version (the og version) there are only ep 1, 2-4 then 5 pt 1 to pt 4 the latest. Btw, thank you for translating always for Code Geass. You are really a life saver to everyone who doesn't understand japanese. :)

Just wanted to thank you for these chapter translations! It's really appreciated, this chapter in particular is a personal favorite of mine thus far.

Omg, what a nasty fall! I can see why it wasn't included in the movie. I was under the assumption that Lelouch was still susceptible to fatal injuries even though he might not age anymore. Lucky for him he can survive a fall like that or CC would never be able to leave him alone.

I saw the movie before reading this manga and was under the impression that Lelouch was somewhat of an incomplete immortal, meaning that he won't age but can still die if he's injured severely enough since the fact that he still can use his geass must mean he's not exactly like CC. But in this chapter, Lelouch has been shown to survive a fall that would have easily killed a normal person so I'm guessing he must be a special case.

CC certainly has changed a lot from how she was at the beginning of the series. She goes from being lazy, aloof, and selfish, not even willing to cook for herself. Now she takes care of Lelouch as tenderly as if he were a baby, even cooks for him everyday like it was Christmas.

IIRC, his Code seems to be unstable or something too, so each potentially fatal injury is a roll of the dice. But maybe they'll be more clear in this manga?

At that time I was thinking that maybe I only comment on the first and at the last chapter, which I had to caught up. To sum it there up. But in the end, I did it at every chapter - that was a little "flood" of comments (over a week or so). ^^'
But I´m grateful for all your doings. And you put your time and love into it. :)

I wish the movie made that a bit more clear but it appears that Lelouch could not only disappear on a whim from C's World but his next fatal injury could also be his last. As much as I enjoyed Lelouch of the Resurrection movie, I think it could have been better if it was made into 12 episodes or a few OVA movies to flesh out the story and characters better.
