(Anonymous) 2020-07-05 05:47 am (UTC)(link)To be fair, Marianne did give a stipulation that C.C. getting bad grades would reflect poorly on her and would cut Lelouch's allowance if he didn't tutor her up. There isn't a suggestion that C.C. really knows this that I can recall though. Possible that she had her own conversation with Marianne prior to coming.
The exact nature of their relationship is still a mystery here. There was that one memory of Euphemia's that seemed to be a young C.C. with Marianne. I wonder if perhaps she's like a sponsor to the girl or something like that?
Everything regarding why he's here is really obscured though so one can't really get a read of any of it. End says they are at the airport, but I'd be quite surprised if Lelouch and Nunnally are really leaving. Unless it's for just the weekend or to pick up their parents with Rolo coming in advance.
C.C. looked very cute when she saw she'd actually done it and her wanting to tell Lelouch so much is sweet as well. I'm basically expecting her to come running in telling him she did it so he can't leave because he has to create the Pizza Club like he promised. Then it gets cleared up and she gets embarrassed. Bonus points of Marianne is there and sees the whole thing.
Also, am I crazy or does the one shot of Charles shadowed have him look like he has normal hair rather than the curls? I now really want a clear look at him like this.

I agree with you on what you think will probably happen at the airport.
(In particular, I was like, "Oh, C.C., honey, no one buys same-day airport tickets... if Lelouch is going back (to Britannia???), it was planned long before your grades were posted." But also, "He's probably not going anywhere."
(I mean, Sayoko is still there, and she appears to be their live-in maid in this continuity. If they were really leaving the country, they would have cleaned out that apartment, and also timed their flight for the end of the lease, right...?)
- I also agree about Charles(?)'s silhouette, it doesn't look like him at all. So, different father, or are we just going to see him without the wig for the first time since he was much younger?
