You're right, they would probably explain some of the odd stuff in following episodes. I still remember when I watched R2 for the first time, many years ago, that I was so confused I paused the video to make sure I wasn't accidentally watching some alternate universe spin-off or so.

I've been looking for that for a while, but it's really hard to find.
Now all I've yet to find is a translated version of R2 Picture Drama Turn 12.06. All I've been able to dig up is a Japanese one, and some guy on another website summarizing what's going on.

It's a pity those two Picture Drama episodes are missing on kissanime.
I even tried to contact someone from that site, directing them to your youtube video, so that they can complete their Code Geass library, but alas, it seems all I get is silence on their part.
Maybe you can point out your video to them? It would be nice to have it accessible to a larger audience.
